This November, Jerry Armstrong and a “band” of ultra-runners will run from San Francisco to San Diego in an event called Run The Coast. I met Jerry last summer at Ironman Louisville, his wife has type 1 diabetes. Jerry is committed to putting his love of ultra distance running to good use to help people with diabetes. I am the lucky recipient of his efforts because the Run The Coast was conceived by Jerry for the purpose of raising money for the Iron Andy Foundation.
